Discover Seoul’s Scent – Tour To K-Medi Centre

Even though Seoul is one of the most developed cities in the world, it has still preserved its traditions. You can still walk along the City Wall that was built in 1396 and can visit the traditional markets that are even open 24/7. But the thing that I loved the most is how Seoul has kept its relationship with oriental medicine.

Seoul Yangnyeong Market

K-Medi Centre is a located in the Yangnyeong Herb Medicine Market which is one of the biggest oriental medicine market in Korea. The Yangnyeong Herb Market is so big that the moment you come out of #JegiStation, the smell of herbs intoxicates you.

But seeing how healthy Koreans live, it feels like using herbal medicines and natural healing to stay healthy just seems like the right way to live.

What is K-Medi Centre

K-Medi Centre also known as ???????? in Korea, is basically a hub for the herbal medicine business and exhibitions. The place is used as different business meetings also to boom this industry. There is even a museum and a cozy cafe located where you can try coffee made up from almost 20 different herbs, and can even try rice cakes, which are my favorite.

Things to do at K-Medi Centre

If you happen to visit K Medi Centre aka Korean Medicine Centre in the Yangnyeong Market, don’t forget to go on the second floor to try herbal tea making experience.
You could make the tea from #burdockroot i.e #?? and #schisandra i.e #???! Not only that you will even get a chane to make some bath products and bring it back to your home.

a) Herbal Tea Making Experience

There are two kind of herbal trees that you can try here. You could make the tea from #burdockroot i.e #?? and #schisandra i.e #???! And guess what the whole experience is free of cost. Both of these teas have their own benefits and the taste was also quite good (even though I wasn’t expecting that) πŸ™‚

b) Bathproduct Making Experience

This is another thing that you must try – making bath products using Korean herbs of 4 different kinds. You can select the herb that you want or even mix them to get better fragrance, (at least thats what I did). You can pack the herbs and bring it in your home and place next to your bed so that the smell keeps on relaxing your soul.

Overall, the Korean Medicine Centre aka K-Medi Centre is a must thing to try on weekends especially if you are looking for free things to do in Seoul.
