EXO’s Singer Chen Becomes Father Of A Baby Girl

Following his sudden marriage announcement in January, Chen, the member of K-pop boy band EXO, became the father of a daughter Wednesday.

“Chen is blessed to have a daughter today” said the management agency of EXO, SM Entertainment, citing several birth-related media rumors.

The announcement came almost three months after the 28-year-old, Chen, whose legal name is Kim Jong-dae, declared a surprise marriage in a hand-written letter in January.

He said his fiancee was pregnant at the time, revealing he would marry the woman in a closed-door ceremony.

The decision made Chen the first of nine members of the EXO to get married and finally have a family.

Some disgruntled fans have protested demanding that Chen leave the band, but SM and the management have said he will keep his band membership.

Chen made his debut in 2012 as EXO’s lead vocalist, attracting a sensational amount of fans inside and outside Korea.
