Celebrating Cultural Festival of Hanyangdoseong In A Special Way

Hi fellows, I hope you had a wonderful Chuseok Holidays. Ofcourse this year the Chuseok was different and no one every expected that there will be a time we will be limited to our homes, but guess what, ‘the night is darkest before the dawn’.

Even though we are going through a tough time because of Corona, let’s all do our best and cheer up while hoping for a better tomorrow.

Although a lot of major events of Seoul have been cancelled, keeping the security and safety of the people the top most priority, Seoul has still managed to organized the “Cultural Festival of Hanyangdoseong i.e Seoul City Wall”.

This year the cultural festival will be a bit different than the last year one but still there are various activities you all can participate in and win amazing prizes. Among all the events going on, my personal favorite one is ?? ???? ( Sunseong Program).

The Sunseong Program is divided into 3 sub programs.

1)Hanyang City Wall Sunseong Nori

The first one is based on traditional believes where you can participate in a walk around the wall for a wish to overcome the COVID-19. It has been believed that during the Joseon Dynasty, the city’s citizens enjoyed Sunseong Nori inside the city.

You can apply for the Suseong Kit and first 1000 people will receive a gift including various items like stickers, masks etc.

Duration: 28th September, 2020 to 31st October, 2020

Once you have received the kit, you need to go and take pictures at the exact stop on the Hanyangdoseong and then upload on the Instagram with the hashtags. and get prizes.

2) Make a Wish Event

Let’s make a wish at the Hanyangdoseong! How about wishing together while walking the Hanyang-doseong Road so that everyone can overcome the difficult times with Corona-19 as soon as possible. Baekak, Naksan, Mokmyeok, and Inwang with hope of overcoming Corona 19!

Dividing 18.625km into one section completes the entire sanctuary. The walk will include 10 people in a group and they will walk together following the social distancing guidelines.

3) Hanyang City in My Hand

Lastly, the Hanyang City Sunseong Program, This program is for those people who don’t want to go out and want to enjoy the beauty of the Seoul City Wall from their homes. 

Even if you do not go to Hanyang City and walk Sunseong-gil you can still enjoy the VR tour from your rooms.
