Kim’s Taco (????) – The BEST Mexican Food in Korea
They say, “Love for food is the pure form of love” and when it comes to food, nothing beats the Mexican tacos. I remember when I lived in States, I used to go to Mexican restaurants off and on at least twice a week. But since I have moved to Seoul, I had quite a hard time finding a Mexican restaurant to have really mouth-watering food. But, a few days ago, I was so much craving for Tacos, that I started searching on Google. There I came across “Kim’s Tacos” which was having 5-star ratings and the pictures were looking so cool that I decided to pay a visit last weekend.
And guess what, even while writing this blog, I am just thinking about the Tacos and the Carne West Fries that I ate there. Gosh, that was just the best thing I have ever eaten in the last few months. So, let me walk you through the Best LA Style Mexican Food in South Korea – Kim’s Taco (thank me later)
About Kim’s Tacos
Kim’s Tacos is not just a general Mexican taco restaurant, it’s much much more than that. They serve the authentic LA Mexican cuisine which has more spices and flavors than the Tex-Mex style. The owner is such a kind-hearted guy and same goes with the staff working there too. Almost everyone working there has lived in LA and now they are pursuing their dream of opening a Mexican restaurant in the hear of Seoul. Since all of the staff members can speak English very well, you’ll never have any sort of problem in ordering any food or telling them about any special food that you can’t eat (e.g Gluten)
The restaurant is located halfway between Yeoksam & Gangnam station. I came from the Yeoksam station and this place is located at just 5-7 mins of walking distance.
The restaurant isn’t that big but has a good parking space and a small patio, which is a perfect place to sit and enjoy the food during the evening.

The Menu at Kim’s Taco
Tacos, burritos, and quesadillas are all available in Pork, Beef, Chicken and fish but I had a craving for Tacos so I decided to go with Chicken Tacos right away. After just having the first bite, I couldn’t believe how come I didn’t know this place before. I swear that was probably one of the flavorsome foods I have tried in the last couple of months. Topping the chicken with the red chilly sauce made it even more delicious. Two tacos are served for 6,000 KRW, and I couldn’t resist ordering more 🙂
I was curious to know the reason behind this taste and the host explained that in Kim’s Taco, they slowly cook the heat and later on marinate it with chilies before grilling it making it much crispier and tasty.
Kim’s Taco has also got the collection of Mexican drinks and among all, I’d highly recommend you to try non-alcoholic Jarritos Cocktail. They have even got different flavors of it – Mango, Pineapple, Guava, and Lime.
Even though I wanted to order another set of Tacos 🙂 I decided to switch to some other dish and ordered Carne West Fries (10,000) with chicken toppings (although you can order toppings of your own choice (Beef, Pork). I must say these topped fries were well-prepared and the guacamole on top just added extra flavor to them.
So, if you are among those that enjoy gourmet delicacies, you will love these Kim’s Taco fries. Or if you are nachos fan, you can even order chicken/beef/pork nachos instead of fries.

Kim’s Taco Review (5/5)
Overall, Kim’s Taco is a must-visit place if you are a foodie person and want to try mouth-watering LA Style Mexican food. The staff members were very kind and helpful. The prices of tacos, burritos, and quesadillas are very reasonable compared to other Mexican restaurants in the city.
Another thing, I loved is that the tortillas are made of Masa corn dough, and if you prefer to eat gluten-free food, these tortillas are the best options. Oh, one more thing, this could be a perfect place to bring your date as I can guarantee you, your loved one will definitely love it 🙂
So, in a nutshell, if you want some mouth-watering Mexican food, Kim’s Taco is a must-must visit place to go.
